Mandeep Kaur Bhalla

Welcome To PeacePod

Hello, I'm Mandeep Kaur Bhalla, a dedicated

advocate for mental wellness and the founder and driving force behind PeacePod.

With a blend of compassion, expertise, and a zest for helping others thrive, I've embarked on a journey to create a safe haven where individuals can nurture their mental well-being and flourish. I am a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) Licensed Clinical Psychologist. My passion for psychology and mental health began during my undergraduate studies, where I laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to understanding the human mind and promoting holistic well-being. This journey continued through my Masters in Psychology, where I deepened my understanding of psychological principles and their practical applications. My thirst for knowledge led me to pursue an intensive two-year MPhil program at the esteemed Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, from 2019 to 2021.

PeacePod provides a helping hand to anyone seeking support.

Our sessions have been so important to keep my anxiety in check. Therapy gives me different perspectives to everyday fears and a safe space to unpack my racing brain.

I reached out to Mandeep during one of the lowest days of my life. I had never been to any other therapists previously, and this was my first experience with her. Needless to say, I am forever grateful that I began my mental health journey with Mandeep.

Her attention to detail and the personalized treatment she provided has immensely improved my mental wellbeing. All of her inputs have helped me get better, faster than I actually anticipated. Thank you, Mandeep.

My senior persuaded me to try seeing a therapist, and I eventually met Dr. Kaur. Previously, I had never done so. To be completely honest, the experience changed my life. She helped me view life through a different lens, which made things much simpler. I wanted solutions, tactics, and even medication for a problem I thought I had. Her presence puts me at ease and fosters a compassionate atmosphere that is free from judgement. Though it would put her in a certain range, and she is beyond that, I could go into detail about how she helped me realize things.

She embodies all that one ought to seek out. I am eternally grateful for the guidance, insight and wisdom she provides!

I felt really comfortable sharing my thoughts with ma'am. She is very understanding and very good listener. She is trustable. I like show she took the sessions and treated me politely. She as a professional is doing a great job. Me as a patient felt really satisfied and worthy during her therapy sessions.

For over a year, I struggled to find the right therapist. Talking about my problems felt daunting, and I wasn't sure who I could truly connect with. Then I met Mandeep.

From the very beginning, Mandeep struck the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine care. Her calm demeanor offered a sense of peace during some of my most difficult moments. What truly impressed me was her accessibility. Knowing I could reach her by text or call for emergencies was a lifeline, and her check-ins during my off weeks showed a level of commitment.

When we started therapy, I had symptoms of depression. Mandeep's guidance and our consistent weekly sessions played a vital role in my healing journey.
Thank you!

Founder's insights on Mental Health

Like yourself enough so you can afford to make mistakes and learn from it and grow forward in life. Because if you don't like yourself enough, then every mistake you make will lead you to feeling worthless and hopeless. Mistakes are proof that you are trying and moving forward. You are much more than your mistakes.
A note to self-
*You are doing the best you can. | * You are worthy and lovable.
* It's ok to ask for help. | * You are capable of amazing things.
* Your boundaries are important. | * Your feelings are acknowledged.
* It's ok to start over and try again.
Healing can be messy, but we can always reach out for help. One step at a time.
The phrase 'SIT WITH YOUR THOUGHTS' can sound difficult when you are overwhelmed.
* Deal with your emotions when you can
* Make sense of your feelings when you can
* Sir with your thoughts when you can
Be kind to people, everyone is living their life for the first time.
To bring a change, you need to be aware of what hasn't worked so far. Change the pattern, change the dynamics.
Unlearn those patterns, which do not align with your growth anymore.
Healing from any kind of traumatic experience can be a difficult and overwhelming journey full of realizations about oneself and others and can be fruitful at the end. If you have ever experienced trauma or a series of traumatic experiences, then you should begin this journey to heal yourself. Whatever happened back then, was not in your control. But now, getting better, taking that initiative to come out of it and minimizing it's effect on your current life experiences, is in your hands. Trauma-focused therapy, Cognitive processing therapy and eclectic components of various therapeutic approaches can open a way for you to begin this journey. You'll have to reach out to a professional to take this first step.
Are you reaching out to the right person? It takes a lot of courage to ask for help. In order to ensure that you benefit from this, it's important to first know if you are reaching out to the right person. You have all the right to know if the therapist/ Clinical psychologist or any professional you are reaching out to, is professionally qualified enough/ licensed or not. Your mental health is important and so is the qualification of your mental health professional. Be mindful, be cautious.
An unhealed trauma can look like-
* Constantly perceiving yourself negatively and critically
* Frequent need of seeking reassurance
* Difficulty setting up emotional boundaries
* Inability to believe in positive outcomes
* Fear of abandonment/rejection
* Putting 'what people will think' first and 'what you need' second, even if it's hurting you.
