We’re glad you’ve decided to embark on this journey of self-awareness and healing through therapy. Acknowledging your feelings is a significant step, and we’re proud of you for choosing to prioritize your mental well-being. Remember, you deserve this care.
Before we begin therapy, your clinical psychologist will share a consent form with you. By signing this form, you agree to work collaboratively with our therapist, who will provide professional mental health care. Please note that the policies mentioned on our website or in the consent form may be subject to change without prior notice.
At Peacepod, we provide therapy using an eclectic approach, recognizing that each individual may benefit from different techniques and methodologies. We encourage open communication and feedback to ensure that you feel comfortable and supported. Please note that we cannot offer real-time crisis intervention (such as in cases of self-harm or emergencies) outside of the scheduled therapy sessions. Our services are limited to one-hour therapy sessions, and appointment bookings are handled via messaging outside these sessions.
• Payments for sessions must be made 24 hours in advance to confirm your appointment. If payment is not received, your slot may be offered to another client.
• Payment options include UPI apps (GPay, PayTM, PhonePe) and direct bank transfer.
• Make sure your details on the 'Book Your Appointment' form are correct, as they allow us to contact you effectively.
• Sessions can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the scheduled time. Any cancellations made within 48 hours will be charged in full.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours. Sessions missed without notice will be considered "no-shows" and will not be refunded or rescheduled.
• If the therapist needs to reschedule, you will be informed in advance.
Your privacy is our priority. All sessions are confidential, and the only records kept are therapist notes, which are solely available to your therapist. Your personal information, including your name and contact details, will not be shared without your explicit consent.
You agree to participate in therapy in a quiet, private, and secure environment. Audio or video recordings of sessions are strictly prohibited unless explicit consent is provided by both parties.
While we take all precautions to protect confidentiality, please note that technological breaches are always possible, and neither party will hold the other liable in such cases.
As per the Mental Health Act, you have the right to confidentiality concerning your mental health care. The sharing of information will only occur under the following circumstances:
• With your nominated representative to fulfill duties under the Act.
• With other healthcare professionals for your care.
• If necessary, to protect someone from harm or violence.
• If legally mandated by authorities.
If you are under 18, please note that your parents or guardians may have legal access to your treatment records. However, we will only share general information unless there is a high risk of harm. A letter of consent, signed by a legal adult, will be required for minors.
In cases where we reasonably believe that you are at risk of harming yourself or others, we may notify the relevant individuals or authorities to prevent harm.
Our relationship is professional and therapeutic, focused solely on your well-being. We cannot engage in personal or business relationships with clients, as this would compromise the therapeutic process. We are available to discuss session timings but will not engage in non-session-related communication.
Any content on the Peacepod website or social media is for informational purposes only and does not constitute therapy or emergency support.
By signing the consent form, you authorize Peacepod to transfer your case notes to a new therapist upon your request, while ensuring strict confidentiality throughout the process.
Sessions typically last 40-45 minutes. You can request additional time in 30-minute increments or book double sessions (up to 120 minutes) if needed. Additional time beyond the scheduled hour will incur extra charges, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
By signing the consent form, you voluntarily agree to receive mental health care from Peacepod. You understand that you may discontinue treatment at any time and that your participation is essential for the success of therapy. Therapists reserve the right to discontinue therapy if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable due to a client's behaviour.
Therapy is a collaborative process that requires active participation. While many benefits may result, such as reduced anxiety and improved relationships, progress may vary. Therapy can also bring up uncomfortable emotions, but these feelings are a natural part of the healing process.
Peacepod is not a crisis intervention centre. In case of an emergency, please seek immediate assistance from local emergency services.
Peacepod therapists do not participate in legal matters, including custody disputes or litigation, unless agreed upon at the start of therapy. Should we be legally compelled to participate, clients will be responsible for associated costs.
